Car audio stereo head unit?

ok, last 2 units fried due unknown reason, think mayve been caused fuse being high on amp number, 20/25 amp fuse in place of outpoint designed 10/15 amp fuse.

car had had cd player running relatively long time, 2 years, 1 prior had fried also, , last 1 did too. , trust me know smell , smoke came out of reciever's vents on top.

in case, ive replaced fuses factory specs, , keep in mind im using stock speakers theyre not of draw either.

know there 3 wires wire harness. red 1 acc + goes positive battery terminal, yellow wire keeps constant power memory purposes, , black - ground.

if ground wire spot on chassis frame know works great ground. , run red , yellow wires on head unit 1 wire in car has constant current memory purposes, still work without having use car's red acc wire? (im thinking may somehow bad)

i'm trying avoid frying anymore head units, getting costly.

ive noticed of friends have set car's ignition switch off , key out, yet can still power on head units , listen music. thats im trying aqquire.

car 1995 ford mustang gts (no power windows, power locks, or foglamps) know car inside , out.
