out of curiosity, how many of think president bush still responsible crisis?

barack obama has continually called bush economic polices "failed" when bush tax cuts got out of dot com bubble recession , post 9/11 economic slowdown occurred. can imagine middle class american 2 or 3 thousand dollars less in pockets?

whole economic crisis had 2 catalysts-the housing market , oil prices. bush has pushed more domestic drilling first day in office , bush pushed hard reform of fannie mae , freddie mac far 2003. called them bubbled bound pop in 2001. there republican controlled congress bill should've been passed-for bill introduced floor needs go through it's respective committee first. guess what, fannie , freddie bill had go through house financial services committee mass democrat barney frank shot down. called outrageous , said "these 2 entities -- fannie mae , freddie mac -- not facing kind of financial crisis,'' if watch video have link too, see other controversial things frank said. frank said fannie , freddie fine in july 2008!

far deregulation-bush never signed in kind of deregulation bill. bill clinton signed in huge deregulation bill in 1999, gramm-leach-bliley act. jimmy carter signed 4 deregulation bills during term.
