I heard Canada has a HUGE movie/tv business? Is this true?
yes film industry thriving - live in vancouver. it's beautiful here, cosmopolitan , vibrant city. there alot of outdoor activities. don't have go far go skiing if want - 20 minutes drive or grouse mountain in north vancouver. whistler 2 hours away or so, if remember correctly.
here info on how big film industry in canada.
in british columbia:

on average, more 90 percent of production crews british columbians.
30,000 british columbia residents rely on industry livelihood.
there quite active film industry in toronto, ontario too:

major productions: $773.103 million

1 of reasons why film industry big here not dollar goes farther here, because provincial governments give big tax breaks production companies.
keep in mind if aren't canadian, can't move canada work. either have have permanent resident status or else have work permit. if production done here, tend hire locally, you'd have immigrate unless have unique skill no 1 in canada has , absolutely have hire non-canadian. reason why hire locally don't have pay travel , accomodation costs people coming in out of country.
connections important, more 1 person told me industry pretty tight-knit. alot of things out there, it's not know know. research.
i love thought of living in canada - ever lived there? what's like?
