What causes skin Tags?

on last couple of months have had 2 "skin tags" around anus area. first 1 went , saw doctor because freaking out thinking genital wart. assured me didn't think , skin tag. have one..... im starting freak out again. have started go gym , spin classes , wondering if irritation of riding bike causing (even though did once wk ago)? in anus area sit on bike im getting them. or maybe perhaps general chaffing @ gym cause. have appointment doctor again wanted know other people thought..... isn't itchy or sore, bit of skin.....
