Printer LexmarkX125 Troubleshooting...help?

alright i'm @ grandmother's house...trying fix printer...and i'm bad printers...heh...

i'm running windows xp.

it's lexmarkx125 (i think sucks) , have book , installation cd...and i've followed it, several times. thing is...whenever go control panel>>printers , faxes...it doesn't show being installed. i'd tried "add printer" when searches one, doesn't find one. yes, cables connected...usb , power.

have no idea do...if has suggestions i'll glad hear them.
