Can I register/get TX #'s for a boat in Texas without a title?

no, regarding similiar question asked, cannot obtain boat trailer's title or boat's registration without going through dmv give abandon property notice current owner of property. law , must done legally acquire abandoned property title or registration.

should able guide through procedure on how give proper notice , time owner has claim it. i'm not sure of sale lien or other legal notice.

once proper paperwork has been filed, believe either state dmv or state police try inform owner listed on title boat trailer and/or registration on boat. either written or phone, written. person have 30 days pay storage fees , have bill of sale proving claim boat.

after period passes , owner no-show, state's dmv system should automatically release able claim boat trailer's title , registration boat.

boat motor not contain title, boat trailer has title. if boat outboard, serial number of motor required on boat registration.

recommend make trip local state dmv office @ earliest convienence , inquire this.

trailer's vin (id number shown on trailer)

boat's hin (hull id number)

if has outboard, serial number on boat motor.

license plate state of origin (tx) , license plate number on boat trailer.
