Ap U.S. history useful to take?

taking ap class looks when applying colleges. if not doing history related in college, might bit of waste of time. i'm doing engineering major , don't have take history classes. check whether universities apply want take history class, , if count ap class when score(like 4 or 5). otherwise you. never took it, , accepted schools applied , offered scholarships. should take least 1 ap class if can, good.
