1 of things subaru few exceptions ease of repair , replacement of parts transfer case.
if had level place work on it, job myself. try use unit salvage yard.
if getting price repairs @ subaru dealer, try else, independent shop best buy. around here cost hours labor twice rate @ dealers when compared independents.

i told mine burned out (transfer case) , cost anywhere $900-1500 fix including parts , labor. being taken cleaners or if fair price?
