Why is manga art so popular?

took decades catch on in west, has long history of people getting on here.

there several reasons. color one, have distinct color palette use in japan bold , striking catches eye easier other arts

reason design. faces of manga characters particularly compelling. reason biological. people conditioned things child-like or baby-like, , manga characters have big eyes , round faces make people drawn them.

yet reason content. japanese manga , anime lot deeper , emotional western cartoons tend be. aren't afraid use tragedy, drama, , love in cartoons when american cartoons won't that. west has stuff on here hide behind words "prime time", "adult" or "alternative" cartoons. japanese push story , character development no matter age-range, , don't "dumb down" content. kids' manga/anime strong this, here in west people don't think should exposed strong storylines that. however, don't realize kids want see kind of thing.

combine design talked attracts both men , women, , combined bold lines , colors, means attractive many people.

why manga art become such big style of art? why don't people draw/paint etc... there own style?
