What are good smaller cities for theatre?

try pittsburgh, pa - made aware of theatre of classical , irish plays: http://www.picttheatre.org/

however, wouldn't try find small of city, since there wouldn't lot of opportunity.

dc market i'm in, , highly recommend - if interested in classical works. it's not big of market - nyc or la. there lot of theatres in dc, virginia, , maryland - means lot of opportunities.

realized classical , period productions - type of things you'd interested in.

philadelphia quite theatre. don't know market there washington dc, have lot of theatre , arts.

@ baltimore, md, if you're still wary dc. baltimore has pretty theatre community. did, , find nice quiet community (which has several small professional theatres) between dc , baltimore, can work both markets. philly , nyc not far away can't travel either of cities auditions.

think finding on east coast move - theatre. there's lots of regional theatre found here - , major theatre cities lot closer each other you'll find in midwest or west coast.

what cities doing theatre in smaller metro areas (i.e., not ny, chicago, dc, atlanta or minneapolis). know of places skew more towards classical plays , midcentury american contemporary stuff?
