there 2 drawbacks of wordpress when considered search engine optimized blogs , here two:

wordpress has url's coded in form of dynamic url's. search engines gives little less weight dynamic url's static url's. however, in wordpress 2 can overcome drawback using integrated mod_rewrite facility of wordpress , make search engine friendly url's wish.
second disadvantage of wordpress in relevance seo duplicate content. wordpress have been criticized of , why not. it's frustrating when see google indexing same contents in form of posts, category, rss etc. giving actual posts less wight should have been given. no worry , great developer have found out solutions in form of plug-ins such duplicate content cure , robots.txt files.

above reasons, i'd pass on seo program.
