How much would a candy light burgundy paint job be for my 1948 Pontiac?

depends on how "nice" want be. nice enough friends , regular people think it's nice or above , beyond perfectionist, car guy, car judge, etc think it's nice?

3-4k you're going decent spray job, little dents covered bondo , paint laid down nicely. door jambs, trunk lid, , underside of hood painted. luster last 5-10 years depending on live , quality product shop used.

10-12k you'll perfect job...all parts removed car (fenders, hood, trunk, doors, etc), dents knocked out instead of bondo, old paint stripped, high quality paint applied 3-5 coats, high quality clear applied 6-8 coats, , car labor intensive wet sand , buff. finish enough use mirror, overall appearance striking 100 yards away or 3 inches away. expect 10 years of show quality (if maintained) , 10 of "nice" paint job.

step above going run in 15k range , set aside show cars.

it's friend...make sure take can trust, ask around , ask references before let touch car.
