Do you think Art History courses from a fine arts university will transfer to my uni as History courses?

want take art history courses @ fine arts university , transfer them uni credit history electives, fulfill history degree requirements. uni 'sister universities' school i'm interested in attending. won't problem transferring courses school credit. i'm wondering if there's reason art history not considered history history.
i'm going ask academic advisor on monday, i'd hear opinions/insight here first. cheers :-)
