Where is the best/ most convenient suburb near Phila?

live near boston , love here. love liberal , educated atmosphere, convenience city, great restaurants, etc. 5 m. north of boston in town convenient both suburban shopping malls dowtown area. love going downtown restaurants , our nearby neighboorhood (davis sq) has bike trail, nice playgrounds, etc. on typical weekend might go musuem, go government center, , go shopping @ mall.

have thought moving philadelphia area closer family. question happy there? best place live boston? liberal, open minded people, mall , big-store conveniences close nice urban areas near by. ethnic restaurants. easy commutes nearby pharmaceutical/ chemical companies. we'd school district have young child. there such place?
