Why is there depleted uranium on a commercial aircraft?
agree answer ps, except uranium heavier tungsten! uranium heaviest naturally occurring element.
depleted uranium u-238 remaining after isotope u-235 has been separated naturally occuring "blend" of 99.7% 238 , 0.7% 235. 235 fissionable , therefore used in nuclear reactors, leaving 238 by-product. half life of u-238 4.5 billion years barely radioactive.
i watching show disassembling 747 , briefly stated had remove depleted uranium. use uranium have on commercial aircraft?
