Nissan s13/240sx sr20det. over heating issue.?

on heating because a/f ratio getting leaner , leaner. since turning boost adding more air without adding more fuel (very bad) creates lean , unstable mixture. lean mixtures burn hotter. unstable lean mixture can detonate. (knock) when fuel ignites before meant to. have lots of pressure pushing down while piston still on upstroke.(very bad) can melt pistons, blow head or head gasket, blow ringlands, etc.

if going turning boost without adding more fuel make sure wideband o2 sensor gauge sitting right in front of face. if starts go lean, let off immediately.

in order add more fuel safc ii. control how fuel injectors spray. not, however, control timing. , added boost might want retard timing in areas.

careful , happy boosting!

i have sr20det rep top in 91 nissan 240sx. when turn boost around 10 or little bit more overheats.would front mount intercooler help?
