far i'm concerned, best book dreams "dreams , nightmares" jack downing, md, , robert marmorstein. book of gestalt therapy sessions involving dreams, , exciting. published in 1973, , may tough find (try amazon or ebay. gestalt therapist/consultant in 1970s (until discovered dr. alfred adler!) , found book helpful.

keep in mind there lots of books on dream interpretation, dream analysis, dream codes , secrets, etc. worthless.

no 1 can interpret dreams or tell mean. can this. never mind can tell dream "means." means because give personal meaning.

don’t bother dream books, dream dictionaries, internet sites tell codes or symbols or hidden mysteries in dreams. dreams not contain such things. dreams straightforward, waking thoughts.

there purpose dream. human beings think, feel, or has purpose. part of dr. alfred adler called "the psychology of use."

dreams don't come outside yourself, nor arise "subconscious." once become aware of having dream, it’s conscious. make dreams up. create them, create thoughts.

purpose of dreams while asleep same purpose of thoughts while awake. is, solve problems.

figure out purpose of dream , problem trying solve, , have meaning. dreams thoughts while sleep, attempting solve problems.
