"Very unusual" situation with student FAFSA verification process, can you help?

have been attending same university 1 year. there no problems fafsa last year. father began process of completing fafsa in april of year. needed use information because, according fafsa regulations, technically still considered dependent, although have own apartment, pay food, etc.

anyway, started in april, had submit correction in may. don't recall correction about, think minor, signature. waited student loans kick in use them pay summer classes, continue @ work-study job , pay health insurance university required me buy. whenever went financial aid office, claimed loans should kick in soon, , there should not problem.

in june, however, loans had still not kicked in. went financial aid office again, , began claim fafsa had been selected verification. according them, not receive financial or continue receiving federal work-study money until submitted paperwork. people @ office work said found odd had not been contacted situation. result, had stop working in office, , made difficult decision not sign further summer classes, knew not able pay them.
