Need ideas for a bi-medium painting?

seem have reached idea. why not sketch out first in pencil , ink (representing sculpture , painting). can play until find nicely balanced , interesting composition. can use same sketch check contrasts , colourings.
when happy 'proposal' can keep beside guide when execute main work. 'sketch' can in 'work of art', both interesting , pleasing, shows development in 2 dimensions.

i'm doing part-sculpture part-painting on deep canvas. i'm thinking making arms stretch sides walls , putting kind of creepy face on little intricate things underneath face.
