I can't uninstall my printer?

when i'm having problems printer. first click on start, control panel , click on "add or remove programs" printer should have several things installed. click on first 1 , hit "remove". after it's gone, go next 1 , same thing until of printer installments gone. find disk came printer. restart computer , put disk in drive , follow instructions. whenever on pc, printer run fine after that. use have hp printer , had alot. have canon , i'm having no problem whatsoever. mine pixma mp-470.
