should start asking living relatives family history. then, armed information, can go public library , check see if has genealogy department. nowadays; also, don't forget check @ community colleges, universities, etc. our public library has both www.ancestry.com , www.heritagequest.com free use (no library card required).
place check out of mormon's family history centers. allow people search family history (and, no, don't try convert you).
